Incline Conveyors

Incline conveyors are designed to move products between two different elevations. They are an excellent option for conveying between floor level and a mezzanine floor, from one machine to another operating at different heights and other areas where items need to be moved up an angle.

Aluminium incline conveyor with plastic modular belt

Incline belt conveyors provide a very cost effective solution for moving products between different floor levels. The conveyor design needs to take into account the size, weight and nature of the product to determine what angle of incline would be acceptable. Different materials and surfaces can be used for the belting to aid the incline of the product also flights or cleats can be added to the belt to stop product falling back down the belt.

The first image shows an aluminium partial incline conveyor with a plastic modular belt. The belt has had flights fitted and the conveyor has side guides, effectively creating "pockets" which hold the product in place on the belt.

The conveyor is powered by a shaft mounted geared motor located at the transition from horizontal to incline. This conveyor system was designed to carry small components used in medical inhalers.

Mild steel incline belt conveyor

The next image shows a mild steel incline conveyor, with an underslung drive unit and a cut resistant belt. The conveyor was designed to take small steel pressed parts out of a machine and feed them into a container.

Low side guides and a very low hopper were incorporated to keep the product on the conveyor, these had to be kept low due to restrictions on the height at the infeed to get the conveyor under the feeding machine.

large incline belt conveyor

The next image is a large aluminium extrusion, inclining belt conveyor. The belt has flights to stop product rolling back down the belt and the conveyor has powder coated mild steel side guides and large heavy duty hopper.

The conveyor was designed to take large quantities of industrial paper waste and feed it into a heavy duty paper shredding machine.
