Stainless Steel Conveyor System: Overview

Advance recently designed and manufactured a stainless steel conveyor system for a major snack food manufacturing company.

The system designed to carry pre-packaged and packaged pretzel snacks was fully designed, manufactured and installed by Advance.

It incorporated troughed belt conveyors, inclining belt conveyors and a carousel conveyor (as image on the left) for the picking and packing process.

The next image shows pre-packed product feeding off an inclining belt conveyor onto a horizontal troughed belt conveyor.

The incline conveyor has a quick release tension unit which allows the tension to be quickly removed from the conveyor and the end to be flipped up to let users clean the under side of the belt. Saving a lot of time and hassle when it comes to cleaning the belt.

The carousel conveyor has transfer conveyors at either end to keep the product moving around the system.

Should the product be required to feed off the end of the conveyor system the transfer conveyor can be swung out of the way and then re-positioned when needed again.

As the next image shows, the product is moved across the central dead plate with the transfer conveyor to keep the product in a loop as it is picked off by the operators.
